Susan James is an author, coach and licensed clinical social worker. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and has a master’s degree from the University of Washington School of Social Work. Susan has completed extensive studies with the Sacred Art of Living and Dying Center in Bend, Oregon. She has been published in The Seattle P-I, The Huffington Post, the Columbia Missourian, Medium, and numerous anthologies. She is a writer with the Salish Sea Writers' Group led by author Brenda Peterson.

Today, Susan helps people find meaning and ease in the midst of challenging times as a private practice therapist and coach. She is completing a memoir chronicling 12 years as a hospice counselor.
